MSA 2040: an unsupported sfp disconnected
Hi
We bought a new msa 2040 dual controller with 4 fc host port on each controllers.
I have an error when connect the sfp to the host port,
my sfp part number are:
AJ716A
AJ718B
I try to using of these part numbres (using 2, 4 and 8 of each spf), but on the SMU i got the error:
"an unsupported sfp was detected....."
i check the internet and run the command set host-port-mode FC
but error still there
what is the best part number or solution to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance

Re: MSA 2040: an unsupported sfp disconnected
Looks like you have them in port 1 & 3, did you try port 1 & 2?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: MSA 2040: an unsupported sfp disconnected
thanks for reply
yes, i check this plan:
only one port on one controller- fail
port 1 of both controller - fail
port 1, 2 of both controller - fail
port 1,3 of both controller - fail
all port of both controller - fail
any idea?

Look at http://m.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04123144.pdf?ver=8 to find the right SFP.

Re: MSA 2040: an unsupported sfp disconnected
Thankyou for reply
The C8R23A, C8R24A and C8R25A are 4-pack Transceiver.
On the pack you find the AJ716A or AJ718B SFP.
We return the device to partner to find the problem, after that i come here and say the HP Partner Solution.
