MSA 2212fc doesn't see replaced disk

We had a failed 300GB SAS drive in our MSA 2212fc array. We pulled the drive and replaced it with a new one that came up 'green' on the drive leds. With the new drive, the slot we put the drive into shows up as empty, via the GUI and the text event log. I've tried to clear metadata but the gui shows no metadata to clear, and I cannot add this disk as a hot spare...any ideas? Thanks....

Check the status of the disks from CLI. Put the command "show disks" and check the status of the disk.

try "show disks encl"

Drive shows as 'missing' from show disks encl.
The drive now has an amber light on it.

Seems to be the drive is failed now.

Can you please share the store.logs file ?

We are going to put in another known working drive on Wed, but I've attached the current logs

I have analyzed the log and found that there is hardware error captured for the location Enc 1 Slot 1.

I think the replacement drive was not good.

At the same time request you to log a case with HP and go for the proper analysis and replacement.
