MSA1000,How to change a failed disk?

One disk in MSA1000 failed. I changed a new disk but found the data in Lun had been lost.

nothing obvious in these logs that show why the spare failed to kick in, but I note the firmware is very old and it may help to get 5.2 (or 5.3 but I've not used that one with VMS, it was an update to add win2008) installed, it will also give more useful info about the physical disks (model, firmware etc) in the tech_support output.

After the recovering, the unit 10

In operation system, the Lun10 can't be mounted.It seemed that all the data had been lost.
I had to init the Lun and backuped the data to the Lun10.
