MSA1000 - Server 2008 R2 MPIO DSM
I'm trying to configure my MSA1000 units to be recognized in Server 2008 R2 as MPIO enabled. (for using in a failover clustering configuration)
The MSA1000 DSM installer does not work on Server 2008 R2, but Server 2008 R2 does actually state the preffered method is using their MPIO manager, and adding the DSM's .inf file manually to the target device.
I cannot get / extract / find the DSM .inf in the HP site.
Is there any suggested solutions / best approach to resolve this matter?
Thank you sincerely,
-Aaron

Re: MSA1000 - Server 2008 R2 MPIO DSM
Though I'm still a little confused,
Where would I get the MSA1000 firmware?
The steps to upgrade it?
Much appreciated,
-Aaron

Re: MSA1000 - Server 2008 R2 MPIO DSM
My current problem, as lame as it is, is that after installing the Modular Smart Array 1500 cs FLash Utility 2.9, is that it doesn't seem to update the MSA.
It Finds devices, identifies all 7 HP devices on the fabric as is expected. But when I highlight one MSA1000 and click the 'Flash MSA Controller' as indicated in the file instructions, it give me the warning about downgrading, aproximate time required, I click 'continue'... then it looks like nothing has happened? No progress bar or anything.
Am I to just wait 3 minutes, hope the firmware update is done, and restart the system without being sure if it has finished rewriting its firmware?
Thank you,
-Aaron
