MSA2012fc Shrink Volume
Hello,
In our migration process from 2008 to 2008R2 I need to shrink some volumes created on a MSA2012fc. Is this possible? Or do i need to create a new volume and move the data?
Just want to try to achive this without downtime for the virtual machine.
Thanks
James

Re: MSA2012fc Shrink Volume
I've not seen that one can shrink volumes (or vdisks) on an MSA2000. Are these RDMs? As far as I can tell, you cannot shrink a VMFS-3 (not even in ESX4 where you can at least grow it).

Re: MSA2012fc Shrink Volume
Ah they are .VHD files and at the moment only half of the LUN is taken up. So i have 150GB free in the LUN.
I guess I will just have to create new LUNs with the correct sizes and move the data around.
Thanks
