MSA2312 SAS with VMware Esxi 4.1 - RDM Grayed out

Hi,

We have msa2312 SAS storage with two controllers. we have directly connected two dl380 g6 servers using sas cable. we are able to create and present volumes to esx as vmfs volumes. We want to present some volume as RDM. But RDM tab is greyed out. can somebody help to resolve this.

Be sure to use the canonical name (should start with naa.xxxx)
Works perfectly on a MSA P2000 G3.

Does the ESX server have access to an unused LUN ?

If not, then the RDM options are grayed out.

Hi All

The link to the PDF that looks like it has the info i need doesn't work for me.
