MSA2324fc Disks not showing up after snaphot deletion and recreation

We have an MSA2324fc attached directly to an rx7640. Using the telnet CLI or WEB interface I create snapshots, map them and then run ioscan on the host. The disks show up as CLAIMED, no problem. Then I delete them and then I get NO_HW, just as it should be. Now I create and map them again and I still have NO_HW. I have actually had to reboot the host in order to fix the problem. This is very frustrating. I have scrubbed the docs and ITRC but can't find an answer. I do the same basic functions on an EVA and it works fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
