Maximum disksize EVA 4000 and EVA 5000
Does anyone know what the largest disks are I can use in an EVA4000 and EVA5000 ?
I would like to use 2 TB SATA disks, but cannot find if this is supported.
Do I need to have a specific version of the XCS controller software ?

Re: Maximum disksize EVA 4000 and EVA 5000
The EVA4000 runs XCS 5.x or 6.x
These EVA's use FATA disk's, not SATA disk's.
I believe the largest FATA disk topped out at 500GB for these EVA's, or maybe it was 250GB.
Controller Firmware should be at the latest for best disk support.

Maximum support is for 300GB FC disks for these models.

Re: Maximum disksize EVA 4000 and EVA 5000
Currently I am using the mentioned 500 GB disks, but I would like to upgrade and use 2 TB disks.
Although I understand this is not possible, so I will have to look for another solution, probably much more expensive, since I want to upgrade the storage on both SAN's and in this case I will need 2 new SAN's right ?

Re: Maximum disksize EVA 4000 and EVA 5000
EVA 3000/5000, with lastest firmware support up to 500 GB FATA
All the other EVAs support 1 TB FATA as maximum.
