Migrate EVA5000 Disk Enclosures to EVA8100

We’re going to move two disk enclosures from a EVA5000 and expand our EVA8100 from a 2C6D to a 2C8D. I bought replacement [M5314C] I/O-A and I/O-B Modules to replace the existing [M5314B] I/O modules to update the disk enclosures but I see the modules came with no copper FC cables. Do you know if the existing cables are interchangeable and can be used on the 8100 or do we need to purchase new cables?
thanks

Yes the cables are compatible. Did you check the compatibility of the EMU module in the shelf. Do you have enough Address bus (CAB bus) connections for the extra shelves.

You have to change the I/O modules due to the speed they operate. Dealing with cables, the main difference is the physical aspect.

The I/O modules must be swapped, because the EVA-5000 uses FC_AL hubs in the modules, while the EVA-8100's I/O modules have cut-through switches (CTS) in them. It is still a 2 GigaBit FC_AL back-end.
