I presented one vdisk and securepath recognises the one disk with all the paths as you would expect.

Can anyone tell me why I can see so many ctl instances down one path on /dev/td0. The alternative controller on /dev/fcd0 has the one instance you would expect.

/dev/td0 is the A6795A
/dev/fcd0 is the combo card with 1Gb ether.

Cheers

Re: Mutiple paths down one fibre card

Did you set the operating system type to HP-UX on your Host entry and reboot the server?

Re: Mutiple paths down one fibre card

OS type is probably set to windows. If you will connect only HP-ux servers to this EVA, you can also change default OS offered by Command View so it will no longer show windows by default.

Re: Mutiple paths down one fibre card

Ahh...Thank you gentlemen...

The switch had some old port based zone sets for what used to be a windows server and the default was also windows.

Thought I was going crazy....

Respect.
