P2000 G3 iSCSI vdisk error
Hi, hoepfully i have this in the correct forum, i am having some issues with this SAN. Its in a degraded state:
Show system output
Vendor Name: HP StorageWorks
Product ID: P2000 G3 iSCSI
Product Brand: MSA Storage
SCSI Vendor ID: HP
SCSI Product ID: P2000 G3 iSCSI
Enclosure Count: 1
Health: Degraded
Health Reason: A subcomponent of this component is unhealthy.
Supported Locales: English (English), Spanish (español), French (français), German (Deutsch), Italian (italiano), Japanese (æ¥æ¬èª), Dutch (Nederlands), Chinese-Simplified (ç®ä½ä¸æ), Chinese-Traditional (ç¹é«ä¸æ), Korean (íêµì´)
Unhealthy Component
-------------------
Component ID: Vdisk vd01 Health: Degraded
Health Reason: The vdisk is not fault tolerant. Reconstruction cannot start because there is no spare disk available of the proper type and size.
Health Recommendation: - Replace the failed disk.
- Configure the new disk as a spare so the system can start reconstructing the vdisk.
- To prevent this problem in the future, configure one or more additional disks as spare disks.
A show enclosure status shows i have 6 disks installed and OK
Disk 01 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=0
Disk 02 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=1
Disk 03 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=2
Disk 04 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=3
Disk 05 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=4
Disk 06 OK 582939-001 2S6229C152 addr=5
If i do a show disks it cant see disk 5
# show disks
Location Serial Number Vendor Rev How Used Type Size Rate*(Gb/s) SP Health
Health Reason Health Recommendation
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.1 PQK7W78B HP HPD7 VDISK SAS 300.0GB 6.0 OK
1.2 PQK7X40B HP HPD7 VDISK SAS 300.0GB 6.0 OK
1.3 PQK6YMEB HP HPD7 VDISK SAS 300.0GB 6.0 OK
1.4 PQK8ELJB HP HPD7 VDISK SAS 300.0GB 3.0 OK
1.6 PMWB1VUB HP HPD7 VDISK SAS 300.0GB 6.0 OK
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem is i am not sure what to do next, i dont have http or https connection for some strange reason to both controllers so am having to do this via the CLI (ssh).
Could someone assist me in getting my vdisk healthy again.
Thanks

Torsten.

Re: P2000 G3 iSCSI vdisk error
Try a "show system" command and check the health.
Check the logs too. Anything related to this disk?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
