P6300 Starters Kit
Hello,
Two questions about HP P6300 EVA (8) 600GB 10K SFF SAS Factory Integrated Starter Kit (AP891A) or (AP890A)
1) Does anyone know if HP China is able to sell P6300 starter kits (partnr. AP891A) SAN solutions or is this only available in US and Europe?
2) How many hosts can be connected to a P6300 starter kit using the embedded SAN switches.?
Thanks for the help.

Re: P6300 Starters Kit
1) Doesn't HP have a sales department that you can contact in China?
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/hp-information/summary/ww-contact-us.html
2) This would be the same as if you used the P6300 with external SAN switches. The embedded SAN switch is a Brocade switch in fabric mode. So limitations are on how many vdisks you can squeeze in, how many ports/NPIV/domain ids etc you have in the SAN. For a smaller SAN (which I assume you have) you shouldn't be close to the limits.
For the P6000 limits see the p6000 Compatibility Reference on http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&contentType=SupportManual&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=471572

Re: P6300 Starters Kit
HP recently released a Guided Troubleshooting on P6000 EVAs.
First page of this has information about specifications like number of hosts, capacity etc. Hope this also helps you.

Re: P6300 Starters Kit
Nice hvhari.
Just realized (as it looks the same as in the guided troubleshooting) that you can also see the specs in the Product Hilights in the quickspecs:
