Password Recovery For Storageworks 8/8 Sans Switch

I prurchased an HP Storageworks 8/8 SAN swtich and no one knows the password.  I need to reset the switch or recover the password

Got any warranty / support left? Call HP.

Try the default passwords: fibranne.

Boot switch with serial cable connected and try to reset passwords through that.

i 've the same problem overhere,...password is lost and collegue is exit.

switch is production so reboot is very unwishfull.

serial console is connected,...but asking for username/password.

is there a way to recover a lost password without outage??

We recently had the same problem with Brocade Switch suplied by IBM.

It was done by IBM engineer , but it was on chargeable basis .

Reboot is must .
