Re: Please help, EVA 3000 disk group problem

error message:
"Insufficient Available Data Storage" comes from the SCMI - Storage cell management interface. It should be reported with the return codes in the controller event log and there from we could get more details for the interpretation of what have occured...

Re: Please help, EVA 3000 disk group problem

When I had 32 disks in the DG, and wanted to add 8 more, capacity was at 4099 (approximately, I haven't had time to remove those 2 disks again), and occupancy was at 3437 still. I was only able to add 2 disks to make it 34 disks, instead of adding all 8.

The Management log, only gives us an error code 4 for this, however we knew that. In the controller event log, it says:

092f0005 #20033
The HSV100 controller identified in the handle field processed a Storage System Management Interface command with the result of non-success return code.
Corrective action code: 00

See attached file for full error description.

Re: Please help, EVA 3000 disk group problem

communicate with the local HP support to come onsite, because the controller resync (warm reboot) seems to be the option to be tried to solve the problem - both controllers at a time, or the cold reboot - one controller at a time...
to reset anything which is wrong there

Re: Please help, EVA 3000 disk group problem

OK, we rebooted the "other" controller from the command eva, Controller A, since it seemed B was the Master, and that worked. We were now able to add the remaining disks. Fantastic. Thanks a lot for your help!
