Re: Possible upgrade paths for EVA4k 2C4D

Hi!

Check out this guide for some configuration examples:

HP StorageWorks 4x00/6x00/8x00 Enterprise Virtual Array hardware configuration guide (5697-7338, February 2008)

Link:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=-1&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64180&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=470490

The EVA4000 has a maximum of 56 disks.

So if you want to upgrade you need to go to the EVA6k or 8k. Which means getting loop switches and maybe upgrading the controllers.
