Replacing Clustered MSA1000 w/ MSA2000

All,

I have a 2 node W2K3 cluster using Proliant DL380G4 servers and MSA1000 external SAN.

I have lots of cluster shares and services running.

The MSA1000 is going to be decommisioned and replaced with the MSA2000.

I need to know what is the recommend process for installing the new MSA2000 and decominishing the old MSA1000 in a clustered environment.

Is their a procedure or how-to article for this? I'll take any recommendations you can throw at me. I have about a month to make a plan of action on this effort so please let me know!

TIA

The short story will be...

You have to do it like if you were changing to any other disk array.

Configure the MSA, connect it to the SAN, configure access to your servers, copy your data over from the 1k, reset the disk signatures or use the cluster recovery utility, get rid of the old array.

Sure.. it's not detailed, but it's the (very) general idea.

can you elaborate on " reset the disk signatures or use the cluster recovery utility"
