SAN Switch Firmware Differences

I have three different types of switches together in my two identical fabrics:

HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/8V (Brocade 3250) currently at v5.3.2b
HP StorageWorks 4/32 SAN Switch (Brocade 4100) currently at v6.2.1
Brocade 4-Gb SAN Switch for HP p-Class BladeSystem (Brocade 4012) currently at v6.2.1

As of yesterday:
Upgrade path for the 2/8V is v5.3.2c
Upgrade path for the 4/32 is v6.2.1b
Upgrade path for the 4-GB switch is v6.3.0b

If all are upgraded, this would be the first time that my 4GB switches would be at different versions. I have looked at the Sept SAN reference guide and I'm not seeing any definitive answer whether or not itтАЩs OK to have 3 entirely different switches running different versions in the same fabric over the long term.
Thanks

Re: SAN Switch Firmware Differences

In the release notes of each firmware version you have a table with a list of the other versions it is compatible with.

For example:

Table 1 Supported Fabric OS versions

Way cool! I looked at this table before but I guess I didn't really understand it like I thought I did. thanks
