SAN switch Migration (Brocade)

Hi All,

I have requirement of Migration two fabric to New two 80 Port brocaqe switch. Currently i have 2 Fabric, in one fabric i have 3 switches (one 24 and two 16 port)and in another i have one 24 port switch. Please assist me how to go ahead with the migration.

What firmware are all of the switches running?

How is your zoning set up? (ARe ports being used? or WWPN's?)


You can likely just ISL one new switch in each fabric and slowly move stuff over to it.

You'll have to check a few things like Domain ID, your zoning, etc... and make appropriate adjustments.

Are your existing switches all Brocade?

If not, you'll need to do some other things prior to adding your new switches.

What version of the FOS are you using?
