SAN: what is switchmode:native

I am new to SAN, when I checked switchshow command on switch.I didnt mean by switchmode -Native. how does switch performs in Native mode?

For beginners, recommend to read the BCFP in nutshell guide at
http://www.brocade.com/downloads/documents/certification_study_tools/8G-BCFP-090408.pdf

Look at the page 27, you will find the answer for Native vs. InterOp mode. Basically Native means fabric is build with Brocade switches only and interOp means you have mixed of brocade with mcdata and/or Cisco.
