SSD for HP Unix 11.31

Hi,

There are seven 200GB (1.4TB) SSD disks newly presenetd to the HP Unix 11.31 Servers which is running with Oracle10G RAC with ASM.

There is any specific settings need to be done for this SSD disks.

How can we achieve the better performance from this SSD Disks?

Hi,

Is that presented through EVA?? If so no need to much from HPUX, as EVA will take care of the Vdisks.

Disks are presenetd from XP24000.

Hi,

As far as i know, there is no fine tuning required on host.

But consider the Block size of file system, I heard that 8K Block size for Data and 1K for Logs are the best valuses for Oracle. We use to implement the same at lot of SAP Customer who are using Oracle as database.
