SSP on a HP MSA 1000 SAN

Hey all,
I have a Pre-owned MSA 1000 that I want to use SSP on. The controllers still have references to all the old configured servers/WWNs. How do I delete them using the ACU?

I dont think that the SSP will still show the "ghost" information from the previous WWN's.

If it does,disable and re-enable the SSP and that should clear all the previous values.

I would try that but wouldnt that wipe out any SSP settings I have configured as well?

at the cli type>delete connection (connection name). this will remove the connection assigned to the old server, this should show as not being connected when you use the >show connections command. all the syntax for these operations is in the online help, type Help and choose the verb / noun option for the command.

If you mean the SSP (or ACL as the MSA calls them) settings, in order to remove them you need to set ACL as disabled, this will however remove ALL LUN masking so you will need to re-enter the paths for your connections.

You should connect from che CLI port for clearing the old connections.
Using the serial cable and for example tutty (19200,n,8,1):
- show connections
- delete connection xxxxxx

ok the cli > show connections / delete connections worked great in removing the "ghost" connections from the controllers.

But now when I do a Cli > show connections I have 5 Connections (see output Pasted below) All of my connections are accounted for I dont know where these came from and they dont show up in any servers ACU. Any ideas?
