Re: San switch Problem

Shalom,

Never having seen one of these units, I'm wondering what type of storage and disks are in use.

However the error message tells me that there is a hardware problem.

Re: San switch Problem

Hi,

switchstatusshow will display the overall status for a SAN switch.

Ideally the status of the "Faulty ports monitor" will be Healthy. I think there is some issue with some of the ports, not completely down.

Re: San switch Problem

Hi,

In san switch there are very less chances for port fault. Most of the time SFP will be faulty. replace the SFP. you can check it using
#switchshow
command it will show all the ports status. there will be laser fault for that faulty port.

Re: San switch Problem

Hi,

If you want to check the port logs you can do

1. Connect to the switch and log in as admin.
2. Enter the portLogShow command:

Related port log

portLogClear Clear port logs for all or particular ports.
portLogDisable Disable port logs for all or particular ports.
portLogDump Display port logs for all or particular ports, without page breaks.
portLogEnable Enable port logs for all or particular ports.
portLogShow Display port logs for all or particular ports, with page breaks.

Re: San switch Problem

What is the output for
#switchstatuspolicyshow

check with the following commands and identify the port which is having issue.

portPerfShow --> Print port throughput numbers
portShow --> Print state of specified port
portStatsShow --> Print hardware statistic
porterrshow

There can be issues with GBIC, FC Cable, SFP also.
