Secondary controller paths FAILED from EVA5000

Hi,
our unix machine smpgr display shows 2 paths FAILED from secondary controller while 2 is working from primary controller and if we power OFF the primary controller, the secondary controller paths show available from FAILED. ONLY 1 CONTROLLER PATHS SHOWS AVAILABLE AT A TIME...WHY???

You have to provide detailed information about devices.
Check the second contoller if it is up.
What kind of interconnent fibrechannel ?
If yes, then check the fabric, HBA...

This issue could be related to the fact that the EVA5000 still operates as active/passive instead of active/active.
In active/passive only 1 controller ( with 2 paths ) will be available to access a lun.
Upon failover the other controller will take over.

This is true with firmware VCS 3.110 ( most recent active/passive fw ), as from version VCS 4.xxx controllers work as active/passive.

We were facing problem due to battery packs LOW CHARGE of EVA controller. after charging the paths shows normal instead of failure.
