Solutionthere is the table "Microsoft Windows multipathing coexistence support" in the SAN design guide:

according to it, the MSA1000 A/P and EVA4400 MPIOs coexistence is not supported, but the Secure Path for MSA1000 A/P and the MPIO DSM FF for EVA4400 is supported...

you can upgrade the MSA to A/A firmware and use MPIO FF with appropriate DSMs.
