Set preferred path for volumes on dual MSA 2312i
Hi. I have an MSA 2312i connected to ESX hosts. I cannot see how to set a preferred controller for each volume. I can see how to set an owner controller for a vdisk, but I only have one vdisk and so this doesn't help me.
I want to spread i/o across both controllers and all my ESX hosts are all using one controller at present. How do I do this?

You would have to split the disks and create two vdisks, I am afraid.

Re: Set preferred path for volumes on dual MSA 2312i
Thanks.
Can you clarify if a single LUN can be accessed via both controllers at once? I am rather assuming not.
Will the MSA be happy if all the ESX hosts all 'decide' to access a LUN via the non-owning controller?
