Slow connection to tape drive

Hi All... I have SAN with 3 Unix hosts (rp3440s), EVA6100, SMA, as well as a tape lib with 2 drives(msl4048). One of the Unix hosts is super slow to back up to one of the drives? Nothing has changed although I have had the drive replaced (slow before, still slow now). Any troubleshooting tips?
