StorageWorks 8/24 compatibility Transceiver

Hi everyone,

I have implemented a SAN with 2 HP EVA 8400, 2 StorageWorks 8 / 24 and 2 StorageWorks 8 / 16 SAN Switch.

I would like to include 20 new connections to the SAN for Sun Enterprise M5000 servers with Solaris 10 operating system and cards SG-XPCIE2FC-QF4 using SFP Transceiver part number A7446B.

I need to know if the transceiver part number A7446B are compatible with StorageWorks AM868A part number?

Hi,

A7446B is a 4GB SFP and it is not compatible with 8 GB Switch.

You need AJ716A which is compatible 8GB SFP for AM868A Switch.
