Swithces combination /PAE /3GB on BL680c 16GB RAM fail
Trying to make that a blade server with 16 GB RAM installed and Windows 2003 SP2 32 bits be used for Oracle database (needs the switch /3GB on boot.ini) the combination for both switches doesn't work.
What i need to do to grant that server recognize all installed RAM and assign the 3GB that Oracle requires...

Re: Swithces combination /PAE /3GB on BL680c 16GB RAM fail
Hi
You can see the following url http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283037
to do
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003, Enterprise" /fastdetect /PAE
If you add /PAE you can view 16GB installed only if your operating system is enterprise or datacenter edition BUT IF YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM IS STANDAR EDITION 32BITS you only can use 4 GB of RAM memory according to the next link
