Unable to format volume presented from MSA2312FC

Hi All,

I need your urgent support for the below mentioned issue.

I have an MSA2312FC with single controller and 2x580 G7 servers having single dual port HBA's are directly connected to the controller ports. Now i created one vdisk of 4.5TB and then made 4 volumes(2x300GB & 2x 1.5TB). Now each server is presented with (1x200GB & 1x1.5TB)volume. The issue i am facing is that on one DL server both are volumes appeared immediately and formatted as well. But on the other server volumes appeared after almost 10mins and when i tried formatting them i am recieving this error after a long delay "The format didnot complete successfully".

Both the servers have windows 2008 Enterprise server R2. I tried changing the HBA card slot and FCC as well but nothing worked. Your immediate response will be appreciated. I

Attached are the screenshots of the configuration of volumes from SMU.

Re: Unable to format volume presented from MSA2312FC

Sounds like incorrect cabling and/or missing MPIO. The single Vdisk is assigned to one of both MSA controllers. Now one of the hosts is unable to use the non-optimal path (using non-owning controller) correctly.
