Ungroup Disk from EVA

Hello People,
Is any way to estimate the time that will take the ungroup of a disk?

Thanks!

Re: Ungroup Disk from EVA

Not really, because it depends on the size and health of the disk and the array activity, because ungroup runs in background on low priority. Six to eight hours are often possible.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Ungroup Disk from EVA

i was looking for something more exact, not speaking about seconds of difference, but if it will take 30 minutes or 10 hours,
because i need to plan a job and the time is very important.
I think that perhaps there is a "mathematical" formula involving disk population, quantity of disks, EVA estimated IOPS used, etc etc..

Thanks for the answer,

Re: Ungroup Disk from EVA

It depends on the available space in the EVA and also the I/O whicha are happening.
Normally for a 300 GB drive it would take around 2 hours.
