Unpresent from old server, then present to new?

I'm replacing a SAN connected file server with 3 luns.

Can I simply un-present each lun from the current server, and then present them to a new server? Or do I have to make new luns on the new server and replicate the data over somehow?

Thanks,

Let me clarify... lun probably wasn't the correct term. I'm speaking of VirtualDisks. Can I just unpresent a VirtualDisk from server A, and then present it to server B, and have all the files accessible from server B?

As long as server A and server B read/write the same file system, absolutely! Best to shut down server A so all files are closed and flushed out to the SAN. Then unpresent from A and present to B. All you will have to do is mount the virtual disks on server B.
