Update firmware of disk DG0300BAHZQ on P2000 G3 SAS
Hi,
I'm in the process of doing a full firmware upgrade on my P2000 G3 SAS. I've found the updates for the controller and chassis and I understand that I have to update the disk firmware through the Storage Management Utility. I have two different models of disk -
DG0300BAHZQ and EG0300FAWHV
I found the latest firmware for the EG0300FAWHV after drilling down through the various P2000 types and controller types (and I can see from the installation instructions that this is indeed the correct update to use when using the SMU GUI on the P2000).
However I can't find any updates for the other model, DG0300BAHZQ.
If I search for updates for that particular model at the top level of HP's drivers and support search engine I can find firmware updates but only on-line RAM versions which are to be used when the disks are local to array controller on a server and not on a P2000.
In short, where do I find the firmware updates for disk model DG0300BAHZQ when it is installed in a P2000 G3 SAS with a Dual Controller SFF System?
Any help is much appreciated,
Tristan

Re: Update firmware of disk DG0300BAHZQ on P2000 G3 SAS
As far as http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/site/search/r4_0/jsp/search.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3664763&tx=%2BDG0300BAHZQ+-integrity&sc=1&cf=1&nh=10&rf=0&lkc=1&lk=1&sts=1
goes it looks like HPD4 (B) is the latest one (from 2011 or 2010 depending on which page you look at).

Thanks for the quick reply :)
It's currently only on HPD2.

Re: Update firmware of disk DG0300BAHZQ on P2000 G3 SAS
HPD3 (B) update looks like something people want to install though
"Enhancements/New Features:
Improved Random IO Performance during light to medium workloads. (Enhancement implemented in version HPD3)"

Oh so it's not just me then. Thanks for sanity checking!
I know this is probably a daft question but what URL do I go to ask HP directly?
Cheers :)
