Upgrade EVA6000 to EVA8100
Hi all
Starting today i've upgrade an EVA6000 with single loop switch kit, 8 disk enclosure to eva 8100 with dual loop switch kit.
i 'will follow the procedure by replacing the I/O modules, the EMU, and the LOOP switch, recabling all to distribute enclosure disk link to new Loop switch, then i replace the controller, upgrade Command View from 6.0.2 to 8.1 and then restart EVA.
The new controller do not ask me for WWN and checksum, but read configuration data from disk, and now i able to read data from all vdisk presented to host.
The question is about support and license of CA CV and Business copy.
I need to change the wwn on eva (reinizialize and lost all data) or keep old WWN (of eva6000) and upgrade license?
thank's and sorry for my bad english
