Re: Upgrade San Switch 4/32 from v5.2.0a to v6.3.0c
Does it matter which .x versions I choose? Do you no where I can get a 6.0.x version as I don't see that listed on HP's download site? Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: Upgrade San Switch 4/32 from v5.2.0a to v6.3.0c
yes. For the update process it's indifferent if you use a 5.3.2 or 5.3.0. You can download the firmware packages on the Brocade or IBM homepage. Try a search in the ITRC forum. Links to the archives are posted in other threads.

Patrick

SolutionBrocade has stopped support for such operations. They want that you load each major release onto the switch, so that changes in the configuration, caused by the firmware update, are successfull migrated to the new version.
This is now the only supported firmware update process. I can feel the pain, I've done this the last weeks a few times. :(
Regards,
Patrick

Re: Upgrade San Switch 4/32 from v5.2.0a to v6.3.0c
Why is there no 6.0.x version on hp.com among all the countless other versions?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Upgrade San Switch 4/32 from v5.2.0a to v6.3.0c
Older fw gets pulled off the web. Sometimes it is a disconnect between technical support and those responsible for HP web content.
