Used space is higher than available space in CV 6 with EVA 4000
Hi,
we have a EVA 4000 with a 2C2D config with 28 300 GB FC drives.
In CommandView (Version 6) the Used Space is higher than the Total available space. How could this be?
But In the DiskGroup (all 28 drives are in 1 group) is usable space shown in Raid 0, 1 and 5.
I don't understand that.
But the system is working ok and all things are running good on it.

Re: Used space is higher than available space in CV 6 with EVA 4000
It's a bug in the controller firmware and usually fixed by rebooting at least one controller. Open a call with HP to get help.

Ahem....
All versions of CV-EVA require the buy of enough license capacity. It is just that V6 and lower do not enforce it by software.
And please do not install CV-EVA V9 'for fun', because it makes non-reversible changes to the EVA which prevent management from a CV-EVA V6 !!

Re: Used space is higher than available space in CV 6 with EVA 4000
Didn't know it did that! Good tip Uwe!
Usually whent he capacity isn't physically possible it's fixed by restarting the master controller.
If you can't find which one it is I would recommend rebooting one and if that doesn't work reboot the other as well.
