Using more multipath software in one system

Hello all,
it seems we are going to use more different arrays on one system soon.
Does anybode have experience with installing HP MPIO for EVA and EMC multipath and one system at the same time? Or even third multipath software (for Falconstor)?

Any experience welcomed.

Hi

Multipathing software is designed in the way that you should be able to have several instances of it installed on the same system. They should have no influence one on the each other.

Re: Using more multipath software in one system

I asked both vendors (HP, EMC) for official statement. As expected, both say it is not supported :) .
We will test it and see...

Re: Using more multipath software in one system

So, after couple months of testing we can say it works. For example under windows we use HP MPIO together with Falconstor Dynapath, no problem.

Under linux (RH6) is situation even better, native multipath from RH is quite ok (after lots of tuning) and supports all arrays in one system - HP EVA, EMC CX4, Falconstor NSS
