Re: V Disk Groups suddenly dissapeared
Hi,
Before considering it as failed or data loss situation you can try to un-fail the failed disks to restore the disk group redundancy using HP Command View EVA.
I would recomend you to contact HP EVA Support as this procedure should be only performed by authorized internal HP technician with complete understanding of the problem.
Regards,

Re: V Disk Groups suddenly dissapeared
well first off, it depends on the nature of the failure, though you would never have had the full DG protection without 8 disks in the group in the first place, also what vraid were the vdisks and did you have a protection level? Simplest would be to do a clean shutdown and restart in case they were knocked offline by a loop error, but a fully failed disk is added to the log by its WWN and so the system will not let it come online in that case (to force it you need to clear the entire suspect device log, you cannot do individual components).
