W2K3 MSCS MSA1000 HP MPIO 02.00.01 Load Balance doesn't work

Hi guys!
I have this customer with a HP Proliant Cluster with W2K3 and a MSA1000 using HP MPIO 02.00.01, when he tries to configure load balance a message "Load Balance Policy is not Supported on Selected Device".

We've found some documents about EVAs and MPIO that tell us to do some registry changes but we can't find those files in the MPIO directory.

Don't you know if load balance it is not supported in MPIO with MSCS on W2K3 and HP MSA1000?. If it is supported, do you know how to activated?

What version of firmware is the MSA running? You should be able to use the ACU to find out. (It's been a while since I played with a MSA1K so I could be wrong.)

The MSA is NOT an EVA and the settings would not be exactly the same, nor found in exactly the same place.


Originally, the MSA was an Active / Passive array and as such, you could not load balance across the controllers. Active / Active firmware was released, but it still pretty limiting.
