What is difference between evaperf's "all" and "nall" commands?
Hi,
As of CV 8.0.1, evaperf has had a "nall" command added. The sole documentation I can find is the single sentence:
> Introduces the command nall. This command
> is a performance enhancement over the
> existing all command.
If you run evaperf with no options and get the
help info, you see:
all Runs: ls, as, cs, vd, vdg, hc, ps, hps,
pd, pdg, drt, drg
nall Runs: ls, as, cs, vd, vdg, hc, ps, hps,
pd, pdg, drt, drg
i.e....identical.
Yet, the output is NOT identical!
The start has a minor difference under "Ctlr",
with "W00R(B)" for "all", and "W00R" for "nall".
The read/write statistics on an idle EVA seem
to vary a lot between the two commands ...
with "all" seeing more non-zero values for reads than "nall", and with the write
statistics being the opposite (more zeros with "all" than "nall").
Both "all" and "nall" seem to take about the
same amount of time, so I don't see a performance difference.
