Windows 2K not allowing access to EVA 3000 vdisk
I have inherited the management of an EVA3000 SAN, and unfortunately am a newbie when it comes to it.
I have 2 issues,
Firstly we need to expand the capacity of a replicated Vdisk that is presented to an old Windows 2000 server. I have found info on here that I believe will assist in this area. Basically remove from replication group, increase Vdisk size, rescan on host, and use diskpart to extend the partition, and then start replication again?
The second issues is this. To test the theory I wanted to create another Vdisk and present it to a different windows 2K server. Then expand that vdisk as above. My problem is that I can create the Vdisk in command view, present it to the host. On the Host it finds the new disk, but after creating a signature, assigning a drive letter and formatting it is now visible to Explorer. It shows up with properties of 0 space availble and used. Disk manager reports the correct size, but when you click on explorer it says it cant find it. Is it a secure path issue?
As a newbie any assistance greatly apprecaited.
