Windows disk size VS. MSA size

In my new MSA2212 I have a 5127 Gb volume, but Windows' Disk manager reports a 4800 Gb. Is this normal?
Where are the missing bytes?

Thanks!

Re: Windows disk size VS. MSA size

probably because one is RAW capacity and the other is Formatted space.

Re: Windows disk size VS. MSA size

Hi,

Looks like the MSA is displaying things in Gigabytes (10^9 = 1,000,000,000 bytes) whereas Windows is displaying things in Gibibyte (2^30 = 1,073,741,824 bytes).

5127 x (1,000,000,000 / 1,073,741,824) = 4774

or near enough 4800GB.
