XCS Version - EVA 8400

Hi

We currently have 2 EVA 8400's installed in 2 seperate data centers. We are running CA replication between them and both systems have XCS 10001000 with CommandView 10.0.0.

I have been asked to plan an upgrade of the XCS to 11001000 and CommandView 10.0.1 however I am aware that HP have the following advisory on their software depot page and I'm not sure if it has been superceeded:

Note: If you use HP Continuous Access Software with EVA, please contact your local HP Services representative. EVA XCS v10001000 is the recommended version for CA users

Is this still the case or will we still be able to use CA after the upgrade?

Thanks

Mark

Re: XCS Version - EVA 8400

Mark,

That was recommended if you are running on prior version of XCS (10000000). Currently both 10001000 and 11000000 are active and supported. Please see attached release notes of XCS11001000 ( http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c03377100/c03377100.pdf )

See the sections - Enhancements and Fixes, it that is something doesnt interest you then you can still stay at current version of 10001000.

hope that helps.
