XP12000 Host group question
Hi, I come from an HDS background and recently started administering a number of XP12000s. I have been asked if it is possible to extend a LUN on a Vmware cluster. The host group is set to (0C Windows) with option 19 for VMware. i read somewhere that you can not expand (LUSE) an existing LUN that is presented using this host mode.
can any one help me?
many thanks

Re: XP12000 Host group question
To extend a LUSE for VMWare cluster you need the optiong 2c(Windows Extension) and 21(VMware Extension)

Re: XP12000 Host group question
Hi,
LUSE is not stripped, only spanned. Maybe the better solution is then to create/present a new LDEV volume to the ESX...
