Re: bl460c g6 boot from san

Hi,

Power on the server and go to the HBA BIOS... Let the server stay at HBA BIOS screen only.

Now in switch as welll as in MSA you will be able to see the WWN of the server. If still not then add the server manually in MSA (not sure if this option is available) and assign the volume to it.

In HBA BIOS scan for luns and if you see it then all good.

Re: bl460c g6 boot from san

the solution was
1) enable the bios of the hba by clicking at the startup of the server which let the san switch detect the wwn of the server
2) than configure zoning on the swicth with the msa2000
3) on the msa create the host manually and assingn lun to it
4) at the server level start the installation of windows where the lun will appear because without starting the installation the server will not scan for new lun

thanks alot for your help
