command view eva installation failed
We try to install Command View EVA 9.1 on Windows Storage Server 2008 ,ProLiant DL380 G6.
First, we follow the suggestion in this thread to solve the OvLicV5Capi_VC8.dll problem
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447626+1271580035426+28353475&threadId=1245453
But in the installation proccess, the Command View EVA service cannot be started, there's a windows error message popup: "HP Command View/EVA stopped working and was closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available"
and the installation finish with message" Installation failed. Command View Enterprise Virtual Array component failed to install successfully".
Here's the application log event:
Event ID: 1000
Task category: (100)
Faulting application cveva.exe, version 9.1.25068.0, time stamp 0x4a276637, faulting module MSVCR80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4016, time stamp 0x49cc5361, execption code0xc000000d, ....
Here's the system log event:
Event ID: 7031
The HP Command View EVA service terminated unexpectly. It has done this 1 time. The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Re: command view eva installation failed
AutoPass 5.x is NOT supported on Windows 64 bit
AutoPass 6.x provides support for Windows 64 bit and was integrated into CV9.2
Install CV 9.2 this
should resolve your problem
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=CommandViewEVA9.2
Suggest to completly remove cv install, reboot then install CV 9.2
