Yes! You can do it but what type of alert you want (Email, SMS, Paging or banner on Management screen)?

Install Insight Remote Support, it's the standard solution to monitor EVAs and servers.
Command View can be configured to send SNMP traps, but then you need a software like HP SIM to receive these traps and do something with them.
IRS is already programmed to know when to send an alert, and even opens a case on HP when needed.
