how to Change hostname and ip address on a Storage Management Appliance

What are the procedures to follow to change the hostname and ip address of a SAN management server ?

If found that if you rename the box, you must also run a 'local discovery'. Otherwise some components like notifications stop working.

Hey, I've even found some notes how to do that, last changed November 2004:
[Home]->[Getting Started]->(Discovery)-
[X] "Local SAN Discovery" + [Start Discovery]

I want to clear somthing up somebody suggest that you use the SMA (Storage Managment Appliance) guide as a reference which would be correct. But the newer Command View server Running ver 6.x, 7.x 8.x and 9.x is a differant platform. If you are using the newer versions then you will most likly have to reinstall Command View because there are hooks tied to the name.
