hpacucli and msa2312fc
Hi,
With older msa like the msa 1000 we can use hpacucli to view disks on the san but I can't find a way to see the controller and the disk with hpacucli with an msa 2312fc.
My main goal is to monitor the state of the disk and array with nagios.
Any suggestion will be very appreciated.
Thanks

Re: hpacucli and msa2312fc
The MSA2000 series are not based on Compa/HP SmartArray controller technology so cannot be managed/monitored with those tools.

Thanks for the answer,
But do you have other options to monitor the san in nagios? I know that there is snmp but I am not familiar with this...

Re: hpacucli and msa2312fc
You could telnet the controllers to gather disk info with CLI commands such as "show vdisk", "show disks", "show enclosure", etc.
In the end, it's just easier to configure SMTP and have the controllers shoot an email whenever there is a problem :-)
