iSCSI direct attach
Hi,
I bought a MSA2012i storage and two servers. I did not buy switches since i have only two servers and its two NICs would be connected to two controllers diretcly for redundancy. I want to make this as active-active configuration. Will this work?
Regards,
saha.

Re: iSCSI direct attach
Hi Saha,
yes you can do that how ever in MSA while configuring IP add to the controllers ports
following is the THUMB RULE
Ethernet port that will be used for
iSCSI connectivity. Each Ethernet port on a data host should be assigned an IP
address on a different subnet.

Re: iSCSI direct attach
In addition
MSA have 2 type of host connectivity in Direct attach env.
1 Interconnected
2 Straight-Trough
Both will give you redundancy ....however please check both before configuring , depending on your setup....
