indirect connection EVA4400 to MDS9124E

hi friends
i saw in document, it is not supported to connect directly EVA4400w/swtch to mds9124.now, i tryed to connect EVA4400w/switch to hp storageworks2/8 and then connect mds9124e to hp storageworks 2/8. i changed domain id and change operation mode on both mds and storageworks 2/8. after change domain id and operation mode,i saw on both switch that E port up, but light port flicker all the time but it says this port is in E port. but,i saw on hp storageworks 2/8 port that is connected to EVA4400 is now on incompatible.
when i checked on command view, i findout if i connect one host to hp storageworks 2/8, this host can not see EVA.
so, please tell me:is this possible to connect EVA4400w/switch indirect (via interconnect to hp storageworks 2/8) to MDS9124 or no.
and if your answer is yes, why after change domain ID and operation mode (changed to operation mode 1)on hp storageworks, it is not possible to host on hp storageworks 2/8 connect to EVA4400
